followed smooth roll-out cleaned ship loaded station wagon After removing wing found reason sluggish ailerons left Out two screws aileron servo tray allowed flex considerably also tightened lock nuts 4-40 bolts went through torque rods actuate rods Between two aileron movement somewhat less thass positive next flights greatly improved proper securing aileron cranks servo tray took Senior Sportster Rhinebeck Classic its first contest exposure adding -scale event Model Y join other Gee Bee models great contest After static judging Senior Sportster top score 90 just two points ahead another Gee substituted old reliable system got ready big Bealton VA contest test fly night before less desirable conditions windy high gusts little drizzle found some bigger props tests made 16/4 prop proved great engine aircraft Test flights went great bad conditions felt ship ready another contest try Bealton model scored 94 static flight time came its first flight beautiful start finish craft handled beautifully poor weather conditionshigh gusty winds drizzle Its second flight better After flying over Senior Sportster won Quarter Scale event easily scored higher winner other events consequently awarded contests grand prize 5-channel system know would have flown better after loss aileron control three previous occasions still little gun shy Senior Sportster lovely aircraft performs
