DEAF Electric Fly-In
ON SEPTEMBER 25, 2004 in Seagoville,
Texas, the Dallas RC Club hosted the 14th
Annual Small Steps event. The fly-in was
limited to aircraft with .26 or smaller
engines or equivalent power source and .30
four-strokes models.
The flying site was the beautiful city-of-
Dallas-owned Simons Lake Park in
Seagoville. Michael Sandling (548 Rea,
Lancaster TX 75146; [972] 227-2023
evenings) was the event CD.
On October 2-3, 2004 back at the Simons
Lake Park in Seagoville the Dallas Electric
Aircraft Flyers (DEAF) hosted its annual
all-electric fly-in. Greg Judy (212 Freedom
Ln., Arlington TX 76002; E-mail:
[email protected]; [817] 468-
0962 evenings) was the CD for this event.
The fly-in included much open fun
flying, a Scale event, and an Unlimited
motor run AULD (all up last down) contest.
On Saturday evening, a local Boy Scout
troop, which sold concessions both days,
catered a barbeque for all participants. This
was a fun event and definitely the future of
modeling.
