ON APRIL 24, 2010, a record number of competitors from
the US and Canada attended the Cleveland Free Flight
Society’s (CFFS’s) annual Indoor FF/FF Scale contest, held
in the huge Kent State Field House at Kent State University
in Ohio. Modelers traveled from various parts of Ohio,
Pennsylvania, Indiana, Michigan, New York, Tennessee,
Georgia, and Ontario to participate.
The event lasted from 7:30 a.m. until 6 p.m. and
featured a blend of a dozen AMA and Flying Aces Club
(FAC) events. Although the emphasis was on fun, there
were some serious moments as attempts were made to
set AMA records.
