Please ensure that we have your
correct e-mail address on file, and visit
the AMA Web site frequently. New
information is posted quite often. Having
your e-mail address allows us to give you
faster service and saves the association
money in postage.
Did you know that you can make
changes to your membership record on
the Web site? You must log in with your
name exactly as it’s printed on your
membership card and receive a password.
Once this is done, go to the “Members
Only” section and select “Update AMA
Information” in the menu on the left.
There you can change your e-mail
address, home address, telephone
number, etc., or you can e-mail changes
to your profile directly to me.
The AMA is reaching out to its members
in a new way. Keeping watch over the
1,000-acre International Flying Site in
Muncie, Indiana, is a formidable task.
Borrowing a successful page from the
National Park Service and many statepark
programs, the Academy is seeking
retired couples to participate in our
volunteer program as flying-site hosts.
We are seeking one couple for each

month of the flying season. If you would
like to apply, contact Wendy Cummins at
(765) 287-1256, extension 0, or e-mail
her at [email protected].
Because of the nature of this
opportunity, we are asking for couples
only. To download an application in PDF
format, visit the AMA Web site at
www.modelaircraft.org/files/volunteerho
st.pdf.
These positions are not available to
current or former AMA employees or
officials. Hosts cannot conduct
commercial businesses on-site while
serving in the official AMA Host
program.
Solo Certificate: Does your club have a
training program that helps beginners
achieve solo flight? If so, you can present
a trainee with an AMA Solo Certificate
when he/she completes the club’s
training program and his/her first solo
flight.
These attractive, full-color certificates
are available for $1 each. Contact the
Marketing Department at (765) 287-
1256, extension 272, or e-mail
[email protected] for more
information or to place an order. MA
