Kevin Dahlhausen ([email protected]) of Cleveland sent in this photo of his Pat Tritle-designed Eastbourne Monoplane.
“This is my first build,” he wrote. “The plane flies very slowly and its gearbox makes the most wonderful engine sound.”
The 46.5-inch wingspan model has a wing area of 321 square inches, with an all-up weight of 13.6 ounces and a wing loading of 6.1 ounces. Kevin used an Easy Star 400 in a Mini Olympus gearbox for power.
A Nikon D40 was Kevin’s camera of choice for this photo. The image was shot with an ISO of 200 and f-stop of f/10 at 1/400 second.
