Rick Loomis won the 1967 Nats CL Stunt Senior crown flying his Two-Bits. This year he built a fantastic replica and enlisted his longtime friend, Bob Whitely, to fly it in Classic Stunt at the VSC. The model was originally powered by a McCoy .29 in the rear and a McCoy .35 in the front, but the new version uses two Aero Products Aero Tiger .36s. Bob's arm was sore for weeks after the meet! Twenty years of good company and great flying
TWENTY YEARS AGO, Mike Keville invited everyone who was interested to attend a unique small CL Aerobatics (Stunt) meet in Southern California. He called the gathering the “Vintage Stunt Championships,” or VSC.
Mike’s real motive was to get to see up-close—without having to travel to distant contests—the Old Time Stunt (OTS) and Classic model designs he loved to watch perform. He didn't seriously think that the idea would work or that a heritage would be born from it. That was in 1989.
