Correction In reading the story on the Clover Creek Invitational (April 2013 issue of Model Aviation), I noticed what appears to be an error on page 24. The middle picture’s caption reads “Third place finisher Kurt Koelling walks to the pilot station …”
Unless he has a twin, the man in the picture walking his plane to the pilot station is Ty Lyman—a member of my RC club (Hanover Radio Control Flying Club, AMA 2675).
Also, if you compare the picture on page 26, which shows Kurt on the winner’s podium, you can see that the man on page 24 is not Kurt.

I have purchased three VisionAires now and really enjoy flying the plane, but there seems to be an issue with the three-axis gyro on the rudder. All three planes have a problem with gyro overcompensating on the rudder causing a bad yawing effect.
I called customer support and they walked me through lowering the rate on the gyro for the rudder but it did not correct the problem. Only placing some tape over the control rod where it exits the fuse stops the flutter on the rudder. I feel a stiffer control rod or even placing the rudder servo at the rear of the plane would fix the problem completely.
