"RC Scale" column correction

In reading this month's column [June 2013] in "RC Scale" about Mike Laible's Don Smith B-24, I must submit a correction.

The Don Smith B-24 is a joint project between Herman Burton and myself. In the discussions between Stan [Alexander] and myself and the article I sent, the important fact that it is a multiyear project with Herman Burton and me must have been lost.

I just wanted to make this correction because this is the most important aspect of the project. Herman Burton is a neighbor and friend, and without his partnership, this plane would not have been built. He built the wing, and I built the fuselage.

We spent numerous nights discussing, fitting, planning, disagreeing, and finally completing the project, and we are even closer friends than before we started and are proud of our project. Truly, AMA and modeling brought two people closer together.

Can you please print a correction to this article so that the credit for this incredible venture is a joint effort between two people, Herman Burton and Mike Laible?

Thanks.

—Mike Laible

Dave Scott's how-to-master series

Dave Scott is the best RC instructor. I attended his class back in 1993 and I have never forgotten his lessons. Great instructor, great person, great friend.
