Float Flying Theme

The improvement in the MA magazine is remarkable. It's gone from being an association monthly to a real model magazine. Well done.

The float-flying theme of this month's MA was most gratifying. It is an area of our hobby that has long been neglected by the AMA. It is the only form of flying that is not represented at Muncie (the Nats in Muncie, IN). A small lake for float flying would be a great addition. It could be grouped with a picnic, and maybe a child play area, and become very attractive for families.

Regards.

Before it's too late, I just wanted to compliment you on the float-fly issue and to let you know I hope you keep this theme thing going.

I won't care too much for a 3-D issue, but you have to give to receive. Besides, I might learn something about that part of the hobby that way.

I like the way it was all tied together cover to cover with a little off-topic stuff mixed in. I hope it was intentional.

Thanks.

More on MA's Redesign

I received my May issue of MA and am enjoying it along with coffee. The magazine is like a breath of fresh air. The larger font has really made a difference. Keep up the great work.

Most publications seem to think that color-on-color printing is appealing, but it makes it hard for the writers to convey their messages (and hard for us older generation to read).

Thanks again.

Due to medical issues I have been unable to read the last few issues until now. Thank you, thank you!

As a 67-year member of AMA, my 80-year-old eyes are tired, so the new format is a blessing for me and, I am sure, for lots of my contemporaries. The larger type and space between lines make the magazine more enjoyable than ever. You and the whole gang in Muncie are to be congratulated.

Although usually in the background, I have visited the AMA headquarters site a number of times in our motor home for all sorts of events, but unfortunately that has now come to an end. What wonderful memories I will cherish in the future. I doubt if flying my models will continue, but I do plan to be at the building board and reading Model Aviation and Flying Models long into the future.

Regards.
