THE RIDGE BARNSTORMERS of Lake
Wales hosted the fifth Central Florida
Control Line Fly-In Thanksgiving weekend,
November 29, at the George Breen Field in
Lake Wales, Florida. The event was a
success and was attended by fliers from
across Florida.
The weather cooperated for a fun-filled,
non-competitive day of flying, full of great
flying, great companionship, and an
appreciative crowd of spectators. We had
many different airplanes on the line and the
day was marked by only one terminal flight.
The guys flew into the late afternoon
then sat around talking Stunt until nearly
dusk. It’s a great gathering for Southeast CL
fliers.
Thanks to the Barnstormers Café and
crew for good burgers and brats, and all who
helped set up the field for this event. Thanks
to those who attended and to Phil Coopy for
arranging this event each year. Plan to attend
next Thanksgiving weekend. You’ll have
fun.
