Hello District V! This is it! We are
having a District V-sponsored, threeday
event, hosted by the capable
Ogeechee Aeromasters at Prosser Field
in Statesboro, Georgia. This event is
open to all AMA members and their
families. No landing fee!
We will have twelve 30-amp camper
hookups available with power and
water. To make reservations call BL
Prosser at (912) 682-1891. Camp sites
are $20 per night; primitive camping is
$5 per night.
There is a shower house and portapotty
access. Generators are welcome,
but please use common courtesy
regarding your neighbor. Breakfast,
lunch, and dinner will be available for
purchase at the field. Registered pilots
will be provided with a free lunch by
AMA. Concessions are available.
There are two convenience stores
less than a mile away for fuel, ice, or
small necessities. Walmart and Dollar
General are located seven miles away.
Several major chain restaurants are
located seven or eight miles from the
field.

I had the pleasure of visiting the
Sarasota RC Squadron in south
Florida. This site sets on a closed
landfill and it is exquisite! A nice,
paved, 500-foot runway, shaded
pavilion, and the view from the top of
the hill is perfect.
I had the good fortune of meeting
two great modelers: Alden Fonseca
and David Speed. We spoke about the
direction of modeling, their club, the
AMA, and shared many stories. It was
a great time!
