The Grundy Aeromodelers hosted the 11th annual RC AutoGyro Flyers get-together September 8–10, 2006. Fliers from all over attended the event and brought 28 RC autogyros to fly.
Plenty of blue skies on Friday and Saturday allowed for many flights, and despite some rain on the final day, a number of hardy souls still came out to take advantage of the time and expertise available on the field.
A wide variety of aircraft was represented, including single and twin rotors and direct-control rotors. Electric aircraft also made an appearance and demonstrated solid flight stability.

The Jefferson City R/C Club (JCRC) participated in the Boy Scouts Fort Cupboard Creek Camp R/C Flying Demonstration.
Hundreds of Scouts and their leaders stopped to watch club members fly as part of the event. Several of the Scouts who correctly answered an aviation-related question were given the chance to try RC flying via a trainer cord on two Sig Kadets provided by Jim Crago and Shaun Zimmerman.
The Scouts enjoyed having the club there, and the organizers of the event sent JCRC a thank-you note for their participation.
