LEMONT, ILLINOIS: Club #279, the Woodland Aero Modelers, held its annual open house. Mother Nature blessed the day with blue skies and warm weather. Twenty pilots and more than 40 aircraft were present and eager to fly.
Dennis Miendersma was the CD and announcer for the day.
In between members' flights, Paul Boburka and Dave Hammer gave buddy-box test flights to the youngsters and big kids alike. All the club members worked hard and the day was great for all. Dennis Miendersma sent in the pictures and information.
Paducah, Kentucky: Club #834, the Paducah Aero Modelers, hosted a Take off And Grow (TAG) Day for those who desired to learn to fly radio control models. Their demo day saw roughly 140 people showing up to watch. Several of the same people showed up the next weekend for the TAG Day event.
