PADUCAH, KY — The Paducah Aeromodelers, AMA chartered club 834, held its 23rd Western Kentucky/Southern Illinois Stunt Championships. Thirty pilots from Arizona, Florida, South Carolina, Tennessee, Kentucky, Indiana, Missouri, Illinois, Ohio, Alabama, and Iowa arrived to compete. It was a two-day event.

- Beginner: Ryan Taylor and Paul Taylor
- Profile: Dennis Vander Kuur, Bob Whitely, and Kenny Stephens
- Classic: Jim Lynch, Bob Whitely, and Kenny Stephens
- Old-Time Stunt: Roy Trantham, Bob Whitely, and Chuck Feldman
- Intermediate: Larry Fruits, Chuck Feldman, and Steve Moore
- Advanced: Jason Pearson, Louis Rankin, and Roy Trantham
- Pilots’ Choice (all classes): Bob "Sparky" Storick and his new model Continental
- Expert: Kenny Stephens, Bob Whitely, and Matt Neumann
