INNSBROOK, MISSOURI: The Wright
Flyers Model Airplane Club and the
Phantom Flyers R/C Club held their annual
float-fly event. The weather this year was
not the best, with rain in the early morning,
but it stopped by 9 a.m. There were a couple
of good hours for flying and then the rain
returned at roughly 11 a.m. David Evans
sent in the pictures and information.
Don Vetrone’s Pulse XT 60 makes a low pass
for the camera.
Don Stauder’s electric-powered Sea Wind
about to touch down at the end of a flight.
Bob Smaglik’s Falcon returned for another
year after a mishap last year.
John Morgan’s electric Piper Cherokee
making a low pass.
Bill Moran brings his Ultra Stick in for a
landing. Note the splash from a bounce at
landing.
Steve Mizerany’s Northstar is a real crowd
pleaser with its great performance.
Bill Kindler’s Kadet Sr. makes a great float
model.
Mike Heard’s Something Extra has a unique
tail float.
Bob Goulding flew this Apprentice and
manned one of the recovery boats.
This is an Ace Blazer, flown by Danne
Anderson, taxiing out for another flight.
