Hoffman Estates, Illinois: Two
clubs, #277 Tri-Village RC and
#261 Northwest RC, use the Cook
County Forest preserve flying site on
Shoefactory Road. Steve Hey of Tri-
Village sent in the report of the 20th
annual food drive sponsored by the
two clubs.
This year the two clubs delivered 66
Dubuque canned hams and a truckload
of dry goods to the Schaumburg
Township food pantry on Monday.
Tuesday, 60 Dubuque canned hams
and a truckload of dry goods were
delivered to the Hanover Township
food pantry.
Both pantries were extremely
grateful.
By Sunday morning at 9:30 a.m., we
had my Jeep and a truck loaded with
food donations. We also collected more
than $1,300 in cash and we purchased
more things from Ultra Foods of
Hanover Park.
There is a long list of those who
helped. The annual food collection was
a great success.
