Clubs and Site
- Two clubs, #277 Tri-Village RC and #261 Northwest RC, use the Cook County Forest Preserve flying site on Shoefactory Road in Hoffman Estates, Illinois.
20th Annual Food Drive
Steve Hey of Tri-Village submitted this report of the clubs' 20th annual food drive, sponsored jointly by Tri-Village RC and Northwest RC.
Donations and deliveries:
- Monday: 66 Dubuque canned hams and a truckload of dry goods delivered to the Schaumburg Township food pantry.
- Tuesday: 60 Dubuque canned hams and a truckload of dry goods delivered to the Hanover Township food pantry.
- By Sunday morning at 9:30 a.m., a Jeep and a truck were loaded with food donations.
- The clubs also collected more than $1,300 in cash and purchased additional items from Ultra Foods of Hanover Park.
Both pantries were extremely grateful. There is a long list of those who helped; the annual food collection was a great success.
