AMA News - District VI Report

NORMAL IL: The Lincolnland Air Show Team is a busy bunch. Their latest venture was a show at Parkside Junior High School in Normal IL. The show was done in conjunction with the school's program about flight. Thrce-hundred-seventy eighth graders participated in the program for a week. Several students as well as the principal, Doug Wood, got some stick time and were awarded flight certificates. Members of the Lincolnland Air Show Team judged the students' paper airplanes. The team provided the school with the complete AMA educator's information and the National Air and Space Administration education package. Another important item, the team ' t provided the school library with a subscription to Model Aviation. Jim Shupe provided the information and photos.
