168 MODEL AVIATION
AS I WRITE THIS it’s the middle of tax
season again and I have been working
some long hours so I haven’t had time to
put anything together for the column.
Things are going well at AMA. Diana
Garza has been hired to replace Vicki
Barkdull as the new comptroller. Diana is
a certified public accountant who
graduated from Ball State University in
Muncie, Indiana.
She has had nearly 10 years in public
practice and is familiar wih the type of
accounting used in the non-profit sector.
Vicki has trained her well and I’m sure
she’ll do a fine job.
The auditors are going over the books
and the work is going well. Their final
reports will be presented in this column as
soon as it is available.
The report in its entirety will be posted
in the Members Only section of the AMA
Web site.
Thoughts for the day: Give so much time
to the improvement of yourself that you
have no time to criticize others.
“There is nothing like returning to a
place that remains unchanged to find the
ways in which you yourself have altered.”
—Nelson Mandela
For a bit of humor: They say beauty is only
skin deep, but that’s deep enough for me!
