As I write this, it’s the middle of tax season again and I have been working some long hours, so I haven’t had time to put anything together for the column.
Things are going well at AMA. Diana Garza has been hired to replace Vicki Barkdull as the new comptroller. Diana is a certified public accountant who graduated from Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana.
She has nearly 10 years in public practice and is familiar with the type of accounting used in the nonprofit sector. Vicki has trained her well, and I’m sure she’ll do a fine job.
The auditors are going over the books and the work is going well. Their final reports will be presented in this column as soon as they are available. The report in its entirety will be posted in the Members Only section of the AMA website.
