DECEMBER 31 is the end of the
accounting season for AMA. The books are
closed and will be forwarded to the auditor.
While we do not know the results,
preliminary numbers indicate that it was a
good year financially.
One reason that it was a good year for us
was the stock market. Because we have
substantial money in the stock market, we
are affected adversely when it drops and
positively when there are gains. Another
indication is that the checking account
balance is $189,788.39 larger than at
December 31, 2005.
At the beginning of each corporate year,
there are business activities that need to be
investigated or invested in. Several
committees will be reviewing our programs
to see if any need to be terminated or
started.
This is an ongoing process but greater
effort is exercised at the beginning of the
year. There are some interesting projects
being investigated.
The audit report will be available on the
Web site as soon as it is completed. For
those who do not use a computer—and I
know there are a number of you—the report
will be presented in this column.
Thought for the Day: There is no such
thing as a bad job—if you get someone else
to do it for you.
A-B-C: Always Be Courteous.
Until later ..
