AMA News Announcements, news, and information from the
Academy of Model Aeronautics and the elected district representatives.
• Click on the AMA logo on the top left side of any page
to return to the home page.
• Click on the “Sign In” button to log in to the Web site,
to reset your password, or to register a new Web account.
• To look for information on the entire Web site, type the
subject you want to find in the empty space and click the
“Search” button. The top search results will be shown.
• The shopping cart icon is displayed at the top right. It
will tell you how many items you currently have in your
cart. Click on the cart to view its contents, click any of the
links on the left to go to our online shop, or use the online
store search function.
Join/Renew: This is the AMA Membership Application
Center. Use this to apply for a new membership, renew a
current membership, or try out our three-month-trial
membership.
Member Services: Here you will find information about
our Park Pilot Program, a link to getting started with the
Web site, and links to find a hobby shop near you or a
chartered club. You may also go to Clubs, Membership, or
Organization by using the menu on the left side of the
page.
• Clubs: Here you will find Club Documents, a place
to find or list clubs, information on FAA NOTAMs,
and the Charter Club Kit.
• Membership: This area has the Membership
Applications, a Membership Frequently Asked
Questions section, Membership Benefits, AMA
Documents, the Membership Manual, Membership
Verification, and the AMA Safety Code.
• Organization: You can use this section to see a list
of the AMA Headquarters staff and look at the
Executive Council Meeting Schedule.
Community: The AMA Community Page is where you
can read a blog from the AMA president, Dave
Mathewson.
Members Only: (You must be a member, be signed in,
and have your Web account linked to your Membership to
view the material on this page. You can read “getting
started with the AMA Web site” under Member Services if
you have any questions.) Links in the Members Only area
include:

About AMA: This section offers Camping Information,
Hotel Information, International Aeromodeling Center Site
Use, AMA Links, NRHSA Hobby Shops (find a hobby
shop in your area), Tradeshows, and information about the
annual AMA Expo.
Shop AMA: Browse our online catalog, order plans
through our Plans Service, and purchase T-shirts and
plaques from Custom Products.
Ask AMA: Ask questions concerning your membership,
the AMA Web site, or any general issue. You may contact
a member of the staff directly from the personnel directory.
Open issues receive immediate attention, and are routed to
an expert in that area.
Member Services: This is the same as the Member
Services tab at the top of the page.
Publications: This is where you can take a look at all of
our different publications, including:
• Model Aviation, the flagship publication of the
Academy of Model Aeronautics (AMA). This
monthly magazine covers all aspects of the hobby
and sport and is provided as a benefit to members of
the Academy. It is available by subscription and
found in select hobby shops in the US and Canada.
• The AMA Insider is published electronically on a

bimonthly basis for members of the Academy of
Model Aeronautics. Its purpose is to create a network
of information exchange between the Academy of
Model Aeronautics’ chartered clubs, AMA officials,
and chartered club officers.
• Model Aviation’s Sport Aviator is dedicated to
helping new RC airplane pilots succeed. Featuring
product reviews, piloting tips, and technical how-tos,
the online publication is offered by the Academy of
Model Aeronautics as a free service, available to
everyone with an interest in model aviation.
• Park Pilot magazine is AMA’s newest publication. A
quarterly launched in 2008, Park Pilot is the magazine
that inspires, informs, and instructs small-field and
indoor aviators. It is a benefit of membership in the
Park Pilot Program. Open AMA members can add a
yearly subscription for $9.95.
Competition/Events: Visit the AMA Contest Calendar,
review the Competition Regulations, and read about the
AMA Expo. There is a section for Frequently Asked
Questions, Contest Board Members, and a menu for the
AMA National Aeromodeling Championships (Nats) that
includes the schedule and registration information.
Education: Come here to read about our Scholarship
Program, download application forms, and learn about
AMA’s TAG (Take off And Grow) program. This area
also includes a list of modeling educators and an
information packet for educators.
Museum: This is the link to get to the National Model
Aviation Museum. From the museum page, you can read
about the History Program, obtain general information
about the museum, visit the AMA library section, see some
of the exhibits, and go to the Model Aviation Hall of Fame
page.
