I AM NOT personally benefiting, nor is
AMA benefiting, from this article, but if you
haven’t purchased a Blade mCX helicopter,
you need to get one. I fly fixed-wing
airplanes, but I have two of these. I keep one
of them by my chair in the family room.
When the TV has a good show on, I watch;
when the commercials are on, I fly the
helicopter. Lots of commercials, lots of
flying.
To explain how easy it is to fly, I fly
Mode 1 and these helicopters are Mode 2.
They are hard to break, but it can be done, I
know! A Mode 2 pilot would have to work
hard to break it. The only two little pieces I
broke occurred because when I got into
trouble, I reverted to Mode 1. Not a good
move.
To illustrate how easy it is to fly, I taught
a 16-year-old girl from Russia, who can
speak only 20 words or so of English, to fly.
My granddaughters can verify this.
By the time you read this, preparation of the
budget will be underway. The AMA staff
really works hard to compile a realistic
budget and then works equally hard to live
by it.
If you visit AMA Headquarters, enjoy
the flying field, the museum, and talk with
staff members. It is a great trip.
The two hardest things to handle are failure
and success.

later …
