When an AMA sanction is issued for an
event, the event will be listed automatically in
the Contest Calendar section if received in
time. Sanction forms and sanction listing
forms should be mailed to your Contest
Coordinator (except demos). The listing will
give the date, place, and name of the event—
plus competition events, flying site, and
Contest Director name and address. Use of
Supplementary (paid) Ad space is suggested
for the description of unusual or special
events, deviations from AMA rules, or
significant aspects of a meet. Paid ads may
also be helpful in promoting fun-fly-type meets
or to give directions to the flying site. There is
a $10.00 fee for Non-Flying Event Listings.
Applications are available from AMA
Headquarters, Competitions Department. Mail
this application and the $10.00 fee directly to
AMA Headquarters. For more details, check

SUPPLEMENTARY ADS
Display ads can be inserted in the Contest
Calendar section by paying a fee. These ads
are accepted for AMA-sanctioned events or
AMA club-sponsored non-fly events only.
These sizes listed under ``SIZE’’ are the only
sizes that will be accepted to be published in
the Contest Calendar.
FEE: Fees are based on ad size and whether
or not the sponsor is an AMA-chartered club.

SIZE: 15/8-in wide and either 3/4-, 11/2-, or 21/4-
in high. Only these sizes will be accepted.
PRICING: 3/4—$8; 11/2—$16; 21/4—$24 for
each time the ad is run (payable in advance).
AMA-chartered clubs pay only half that rate.

background. Please send originals—even

combined. 101, 104 means only events 101 and 104 are flown, and that they are flown separately. (101,
104) means only events 101 and 104 are flown, but that they are combined for competition.
NOTE: To assure quick response, be certain to send a stamped, self-addressed envelope to the listed
Contest Director along with your request for information about an event.
The letters in parentheses (A, B, AA, etc.) immediately following the date and location of an event refer to
sanction classification, as explained in the AMA rule book. ``B’’ indicates a restriction of entry in some fashion,
and the event’s contact person should be queried to obtain more details and to possibly avoid misunderstanding
or disappointment by the intended participant, particularly if considerable travel may be involved.
(T) indicates a traditional event (one which has occurred for a number of years at the same date and
place and with the same sponsor).
