Club News

Three young men — Kirk Eden, Bryan Blanchard, and Alex Feist — did an excellent job flying at the Greater Cincinnati Radio Control Club’s first annual Moon Shot Pylon Race. There were 102 heats flown over the course of two days. The race was successful and enjoyed by all who attended.

The class these pilots flew in was the Can-Am Pylon Society (CAPS) Standard class, a class created to fit between .428 and .424.

The Black Sheep Squadron of Northeast Pennsylvania continues to teach new members — and experienced flyers — how to fly. As part of the WINGS education and instruction program, members are issued a set of AMA wings for their achievements at the beginner, intermediate, advanced, and expert levels. Each skill level awards the pilot a different set of wings. All members must achieve the solo level to fly on their own; the other levels are optional.

Another incentive is having pictures published on the club’s website: www.blacksheepsquadronpa.org.

See you next time!
