Hello District V!
The 2013 District V Airfest, held November 7-10, is in the books and it was fantastic! Our hosts, BL Prosser and his wife Helen, did an outstanding job of getting the property ready for the onslaught of people who came out in droves!
CD Dave Wenzel and his crew did an outstanding job of keeping the flightline safe and the Statesboro, Georgia, event running like a Swiss timepiece. Prosser Field is the home of the Ogeechee Aeromasters and BL has gone to great lengths to make it a world-class venue.
The site features motorhome hookups, bathrooms (not porta-potties), a pavilion with electricity, a kitchen area, and more than 50 acres of airspace. The on-site hobby shop, Helen’s Hobbies, provided everyone with the necessities of our craft during all three days, and sponsored the raffle.
This annual event is a must attend! Gracing us with a show were Mac Hodges, his crew, and his B-29. AMA’s flight simulator trailer was a huge success and the noontime demos were fantastic!
