SAINT LOUIS, MISSOURI: The Spirits of Saint Louis RC Flying club held its fifth annual open house and it was the best-attended one yet. This is a free event for fliers and spectators.

There were 44 pilots and almost 90 models. W. Wilson, the club secretary, sent in the following information with pictures.

The club sends a big thanks to Mark Twain Hobbies, Schaeffer's Hobbies, and Morris Hobbies for their contributions.

Davenport, Iowa: John Kroeger sent in a picture of his seven-foot-wingspan B-29. He has flown quite a bit but never at the Nats. My comment to him is come and join the fun at the 2006 Nats in Muncie, Indiana.

Rock Island, Illinois: Here's a neat hint for winter flying from Fred Winthrust, a member of the Quad-City Skyraiders. A plastic wheel pant split in half with hardwood pieces glued in place will make a quick pair of skis.
