Pittsburg, Illinois: Members of the Sky
Squires RC Model Airplane Club are now
flying on their new field. Darrell Honey,
club president, sent these pictures of the
work on the new site.

NAPERVILLE, ILLINOIS: The Palos RC
Flying Club held its Scale Model Air Show
despite high winds and cool temperatures.
The show was quite a success with 40
participants from at least five area clubs.
Dennis Miendersma sent in the information
and the pictures and served as master of
ceremonies for the event.
Roughly 400 spectators were entertained
by the flying. The food tent sold out, and the
raffle-ticket sales were brisk.
Highlights of the show included John
Abrahamian piloting a jet doing climbing
aileron rolls. Arnie Zimmerman did fly-bys
in his full-scale Breezy. He made several
passes with the horn honking, lights flashing
and smoke on. Arnie has given free rides to
more than 1,000 youngsters as part of the
EAA Young Eagles program.
The crowd enjoyed the air show.
