SAINT LOUIS, MISSOURI: Club #702, the Lafayette Esquadrille Control Line club members got together to clean and paint the speed circle at Buder Park. Louis Matustik, one of the members, sent in some pictures of the work in progress.
This fence is one of the only permanent CL safety fences in the country and is certainly worth preserving. A lot of speed competition and record setting has taken place inside this fence.
Paducah, Illinois: Club #834, the Paducah Aeromodelers, held its annual Charity Fly-In. The two-day event was run at the McCracken County Model Air Park.
Information given to the local newspapers, television, and radio stations brought a large crowd to watch the event. Allen Brickhaus, club president, sent in the information and photos.
