District VI - 2012/07

Author: Charlie Bauer

Edition: Model Aviation - 2012/07
Page Numbers: 144

Palos Park, Illinois: The Palos RC
Flying Club, AMA chartered club
#263, held its annual air show. Fortyfive
pilots from five clubs enjoyed
more than six hours of flying. The pit
area was filled with approximately 80
models.
As a great tie-in to model aviation,
a well-known, local full-scale pilot,
Arnie Zimmerman, flew over in his
homebuilt Breezy. During his flyaround,
the announcer explained
the Young Eagles program at Clow
Airport. Arnie is also a modeler.
Dennis Mienderama, who was
the CD, sent in the pictures and
information.
