WOOD DALE IL: The Chicagoland Circle
Cutters has a member who builds beautiful
airplanes. Marv Babcock Jr. designed and
built his Scorpion III. The airplane is
finished with Brodak dope.

Crown Point IN: The Crown Point
Aeromodelers took part in the Labor Day
parade in Lowell, Indiana. The theme of the
parade was Let Freedom Ring.
The club float was 26th out of 105
parade entries. Most of the day was fine, but
rain soaked the participants for the last mile.
The club was notified that they had won
third place in the noncommercial division.

Raytown MO: The RC Sport Flyers had a
display of models at the Antique Airplane
Association of Kansas City. The announcer
mentioned their display as built and flown
with all the craftsmanship and care as their
full-scale counterparts.

Frank Roales, Indiana Associate Vice
President, has been visiting various events.

The Henderson R/C Club’s 13th annual
fly-in had 130 pilots and more than 300
airplanes. Above is a 50% Patty Wagstaff
Extra built and flown by Joe Bayer.
Here is a view of one end of a long
flightline.
Wesley Taylor from Owensboro, Kentucky
with his Bluehawk. Wesley is eight and
has been flying for two years. This is his
first year flying solo.
The Mid America Free Flight
Championships in Lawrenceville, Illinois
saw 43 contestants put up 341 official
flights in 20 events. Here is the future of
our sport. Eight-year-old Jessica Mouzin
flew a Catapult Glider in gaining the high
time junior award.
