If members of your club think there is frequency interference at your field, your club has two options. Every associate vice president (AVP) listed above has a frequency scanner that your club can borrow. Contact the AVP closest to your group or contact the frequency coordinator (listed above), who has frequency analyzers that can be borrowed.

Independence, Missouri

Susan Calvin submitted information about a Wright Flyer model. She built most of the structure with help from Ed Wolf, Jerry Edwards, and Harold Witte. The model has an 80-inch wingspan, which is 1/6-scale. The wing warping was duplicated, and the covering is Sig Koverall.

On December 17, many club members gathered to see its first flight. Don Stevens made four flights that day. The model has been retired to static display.

Vincennes, Indiana

The Tri-County Aero Club assisted a Boy Scout troop at the request of Scoutmaster Daniel Egel. The club furnished all kits and materials for the session. AVP Frank Roales provided the pictures and additional information.

Woodstock, Illinois

Charles Kirkland, a semi‑retired dentist, is returning to CL flying after a 30-year hiatus. He says you never forget how to fly the airplanes. The models survived his return. Welcome back, Chuck!

Jasper, Indiana

The Jasper R/C Flyers club is flying from a reclaimed landfill that the city of Jasper allows the members to use at no cost. Because they were not allowed to penetrate the ground, everything must float. The shelter is built on a slab that floats, and the fence is set in cement that sits above ground.
