Crown Point, Indiana
The Crown Point Aeromodelers held its annual First-Day-of-the-Year chili fly. The weather was misty with rain and temperatures in the mid-30s, but in spite of it all everyone had a great time.
A few die-hards even got in some flying time. The club served plenty of hot chili and coffee to keep warm.
There was only one mishap of the day when Ron Parent was forced to dead-stick into the cornfield. Even the water puddles on the field didn't stop the flights.
