Paducah, Kentucky: The Paducah
Aero Modelers supported The Dream
Factory with a two-day fly-in in May
2011 for all aspects of modeling.
Although both Saturday and Sunday
began with heavy rains, including some
hail, the rest of the time provided some
good flying weather.
The club raised roughly $800 in the
two days to add to last year’s $700
donation.
The parking lot at the McCracken County Model
Air Park was clogged with pilots’ vehicles and
spectators’ cars. The club was happy with the
attendance despite the early bad weather each
day.
Jerry Smith (far left), Jim McBride, Phillip Rudd
(event CD), and a Paducah Sun reporter watch
Jerry put his spoiler through its paces.
This is part one of the event. Part
two will appear next month.
Phillip Rudd helps a young pilot and his father prepare to fly.
