As many of you know, the AMA vice presidents write these monthly columns three months in advance of actual distribution. This column is actually being written in April when many clubs are already enjoying spring flying.
I attended the Toledo Expo in early April, and I can tell you the weather did not act as though spring had sprung. We had ice storms, sleet, and rain, with thunder and lightning. We experienced a drop in temperature from 70° to 35° and high winds. It was a real bummer for this time of year. Our weather hasn't been the greatest in this area, but hopefully it will improve so I can get to some of the scheduled activities.
This brings up another subject.
Occasionally I receive comments asking, "Why don't I see my club in your column?" The answer is quite simple: has anyone sent me any information about what your club is doing? I certainly would appreciate articles of interest, and I'm sure other clubs would like to see what is going on in other areas of District VII.
To generate some interest in providing pictures and articles for this column, here is a montage of some past events in the district.
Until next time, C.A.V.U.
