Club Fund-Raising Project

I attended a model aircraft club meeting where I heard a review of a successful fund-raising program. One actively involved club member took responsibility for gathering unwanted and unneeded model aircraft materials donated by members. This individual photographs, categorizes, and describes all donated materials and places them for sale on the Internet.

During the first month of the project, the club received more than $200 as a donation to their field improvement fund.

The club intends to purchase a new riding mower for its field improvement program. At the meeting, numerous items were donated by members to be sold as part of this fund-raising effort. The project appears to be working, and the possibility of the club attaining its new riding mower seems likely.

Consider adapting this idea for fund-raising in your club — it has possibilities. Contact Stephen E. Bennett at [email protected] for more information.
