District VIII Report

More photos, less text

MORE PHOTOS and less text! For those who would like to see more text and AMA politics in this column, please contact me personally at my above address. We can discuss such matters privately. For all others, please enjoy these collages of the following events. I solicit others to submit photos of your local modeling activity to be seen in future columns.

IMAC judging school

Recently, the AMA Special Interest Group, the International Miniature Aerobatic Club (IMAC), held a judging school at the International Aeromodeling Center in Muncie, Indiana. These photos are from that judging school.

Indoor RC flying

One of the fastest-growing segments of aeromodeling is indoor RC flying. Shown above are some recent developments from the March 27–28 Big Spring, Texas Indoor Electric Fun Fly event at Howard College Coliseum. The contest director (CD) was Robert Williams (1721 Yale Ave., Big Spring, TX 79720; Tel.: (432) 816-9470). Also pictured is some indoor RC flying at the Bedford Boys Ranch in Texas.

Model Aviation is the place to see photos of modeling action in District VIII!

Closing
