Seeking Payload Memorabilia
The National Model Aviation Museum is working on an exhibit highlighting Pan American World Airways and the payload events it sponsored from 1948 to 1961.
To help document this event, the museum would like to acquire rule books for the event (it has the 1950, 1954, 1957, and 1958 rule books) and one of the Bulova watches that was awarded to the winning competitors.

Turbine Kits
AMA has established regulations for manufactured (production) and homebuilt (nonproduction) turbine engines. Turbine kit engines have not been approved by AMA, and no regulations are in place.
A turbine kit has been provided to AMA, and the Turbine Advisory Committee is reviewing and evaluating it. Until this process has been successfully completed and approved by the Executive Council, operation of turbine kit engines are not covered under the AMA liability insurance.

Scholarship Information
Because of an increase in inquiries regarding eligibility requirements for AMA-administered scholarships, please refer to the following.
In general, any current AMA member is eligible who has been a member for the last three years, graduates from high school the year in which the award is to be granted, and is enrolled in a college or university certificate or degree program.
Applicants are eligible to receive one grant. Detailed scholarship information is posted on AMA's Web site: www.modelaircraft.org. MA
