Earned Membership Changes
The following "earned" membership categories will receive a 50% credit against the actual amount of the membership cost; e.g., an Open member who becomes a Contest Director will receive a credit of 50%, or $29 off his or her 2003 dues of $58.
The categories included are Executive Council members, district associate vice presidents, contest coordinators, contest directors, and all Contest Board members.
Qualification for each category is still required. /MA

Park Flyer Information
For a year, AMA has had various pieces of literature and a Web site available regarding park flyers. The purpose of these materials is to acquaint newcomers with the concerns of potential interference in the operation of radio-controlled equipment with separation less than three miles. New text which points out this concern is being added to the 2003 Membership Manual.
Many industry manufacturers and distributors are including a pamphlet in their products which explains these issues. The Academy strongly urges clubs, hobby shops, and all other interested parties to make them available for distribution.

RC Television Series
AMA members who have access to the Outdoor Channel may want to check out a new television program for aeromodelling enthusiasts: Inside R/C. It will cover Radio Control airplanes, helicopters, cars, and boats.
Presented by Du-Bro Products, the show will feature wild graphics, fast music, dynamic camera angles, and energetic hosts. It will showcase new products and unique models and visit some of the most prestigious events.
