Model Aviation Database

Have you ever tried to research an article or topic in Model Aviation, but didn't have enough information to locate it?

Soon, a new product will allow members to research a database of Model Aviation back issues from July 1975 to the present.

The Academy reached an agreement with Digital Publishing, Inc. (Leesburg, VA) to digitize previous issues of the magazine, and provide the information via the World Wide Web or CD-ROM.

  • The Web site will be available by subscription.
  • CD-ROM sets will be for sale.
  • For each Model Aviation subscription and CD-ROM collection sold, the Academy will receive a commission from Digital Publishing.

In addition to providing a searchable research tool for members and model aviation enthusiasts, the Academy hopes these products will create an important source of non-dues revenue.

"It's vitally important to the future of the Academy that we seek other sources of revenue, so we are not dependent on membership dues," said AMA Executive Director Joyce Hager. "This agreement helps us move in that direction."
