2004 Executive Council Meetings
The dates for the coming year’s Executive
Council meetings are February 7, 8; April 24,
25; July 2, 3; October 8 (which is the budget
meeting); and October 30, 31.
All meetings will be held in Muncie,
Indiana, at AMA Headquarters. Meeting
minutes will be posted on AMA’s Web site
(www.modelaircraft.org) as soon as they are

MA Mission Statement
At its November 1, 2003, meeting,
AMA’s Executive Council unanimously
approved the following mission statement for
Model Aviation magazine.
“Model Aviation is the flagship
publication of the Academy of Model
Aeronautics. Model Aviation serves as a
vehicle to accomplish the purposes of the
organization and a means by which official
information is distributed to the membership.
Model Aviation supports the mission of the
Academy of Model Aeronautics. Model
Aviation strives to inspire, inform, and
instruct enthusiasts who share a passion for
aeromodeling. Model Aviation covers the full
spectrum of aeromodeling activities, and
serves as an important historical resource.
Model Aviation seeks to be an informationproviding
leader in aeromodeling, reflecting
the association’s position as the world’s
