Technically Speaking ...

World Champs: This month I'll keep it short and sweet. We are finalizing all the preparations for the 2009 F3C Helicopter World Championships, to be held at the National Flying Site in Muncie, Indiana.

Competition flying will begin on Wednesday, August 5 at 8:00 a.m. and conclude on Tuesday, August 11. It will be open to members and the public.

If you've ever wanted to see world-class helicopter pilots, here's your chance. Make plans to attend the Championships and also take in, or participate in, the IRCHA Jamboree, which follows the Worlds.

I will be back next month with a full article dealing with some new safety issues and a further discussion on the status of frequency use.

See you at the Helicopter World Championships.
