time getting ready fly know AMA always working ways draw young people hobby rightfully after watching Vito being consumed pleasure RC wonder members know some senior would jump chance try flying via Scale model airplanes mid-i 960s began flying Control Line Stunt wanted Scale-looking Stunter instead typical futuristic stunt models day After usual process looking through various magazine books etc found Hawker Hunter immediately fell love its beautiful lines Since have built three semiscale Hawker Hunter Stunters first built around i965 second i966 third dupiication second 1998 As mentioned article aircraft has several features make ideal modeling subject over years have often wondered modelers didnt build Hopefully article wili provide inspiration would love see RC model new jet engines models what some call semiscale primary purpose fly CL Stunt pattern opinion however deviation true scale required produce competition Stunt model does detract beauty Hunter design Models two long gone number three flies very well plan fly model various Classic CL events well Nats summer Queen Bee Jack Sunderland Hilliard Ohio built little standard Lazy Bee Kit supplied Clancy Aviation member IMAA just enlarge Getting out yardstick plus couple crayons drew up couple patterns slight adjustment came up IMAA-legal aeromachine 80-inch span minimum wing actually came out 80 inches span 24-inch chord thickness three inches Because fit standard car made wingtips removable used plug-in/bolt-on arrangement finished Aeromachine weighs 85 pounds powered K&B Sportster 65 Through correspondence
