Bob's Aircraft Documentation (formerly Scale Model Research)—the world's largest commercial collection of full-color aircraft documentation, Foto Paaks, and three-view drawings—has expanded its inventory again.
The 256-page 2002 issue of the catalog lists more than 8,000 Foto Paaks (400 new this issue and almost a half-million photos in stock at all times), 35,000 three-view drawings (400 new additions), and includes nine Scale-related articles written by some of the top competitors and authorities in the Scale movement.
The Foto Paaks (studies) are full-color, 3½ x 5-inch pictures taken with the modeler in mind, to show details such as paint scheme, markings, instruments, landing gear, etc. These Paaks are sold on a satisfaction-guaranteed basis, and orders are usually mailed within 24 hours because of the large inventory.
Most Foto Paaks have three-view drawings available that will provide the modeler with complete documentation for his or her project. The three-views are either Koku-Fan drawings or copies of drawings gleaned from modeling and/or full-scale aircraft magazines and other sources. Bob has more than 35,000 drawings in stock.

CSM offers an electronic warfare system that offers programmable features, allowing up to 30 pilots to engage in aerial combat at one time.
The Air Wars Combat System fires code infrared "bullets" that are recorded as hits by an infrared light sensor mounted on the target airplane's tail. When hit, the wounded airplane can be programmed to give three rapid right-left roll deflections or to raise and lower the throttle three times, indicating a kill.
CSM's Air Wars Combat System is designed primarily for slope-type airplanes or small Electric airplanes, such as SFM's Soarstar or a Zagi. It can also be mounted on glow-powered airplanes, by lengthening the leads.
The system mounts easily in minutes and uses the onboard receiver battery for power. The unit requires that the shooter be within 30 feet of the target to register a hit. The trigger is hooked up to an auxiliary-switched channel, and each flip of the switch fires the infrared "bullet."
One complete combat system needs to be purchased for each airplane, and one PC interface can store up to 30 pilots' names and record statistics for each. You could have 30 airplanes in the air fighting at once (although it's not recommended), and the computer would record all the action!
