This newest and fifth kit release
from the Autogyro Company of Arizona
is the first-ever autogyro kit designed
for electric power! This laser kit is a
sport-scale model of the 1935 Pitcairn
“Cabin” Autogyro. It sports a rotor
diameter of 48 inches and is 34 inches
in length.
Designed specifically for brushless
electric motors, a fuel version is also
available recommending a .25 twostroke
or 30 four-stroke engine. An
inexpensive “sport” four-channel radio
system is suggested, with no computer
mixing needed.
Flight controls are familiar to any
model-airplane pilot: simple airplanetype
elevator controls pitch, rudder for
yaw, throttle for thrust, and “lateral tilt”
(replacing ailerons) for effective roll
control.
The “Cabin” reflects the smooth

release of its new Li’l Rascal ARF.
This model has a 29.75-inch wingspan
and a 180 geared electric motor. It can
be ready to fly in as little as two to
three hours from box to field.
It features a one-piece,

motor/gearbox, and a low parts count.
The light, tough, all-balsa-and-plywood
construction is completely hand
assembled and then covered with
genuine Oracover covering material in
the Rascal motif.
Standard micro radio electronics

This newest and fifth kit release
from the Autogyro Company of Arizona
is the first-ever autogyro kit designed
for electric power! This laser kit is a
sport-scale model of the 1935 Pitcairn
“Cabin” Autogyro. It sports a rotor
diameter of 48 inches and is 34 inches
in length.
Designed specifically for brushless
electric motors, a fuel version is also
available recommending a .25 twostroke
or 30 four-stroke engine. An
inexpensive “sport” four-channel radio
system is suggested, with no computer
mixing needed.
Flight controls are familiar to any
model-airplane pilot: simple airplanetype
elevator controls pitch, rudder for
yaw, throttle for thrust, and “lateral tilt”
(replacing ailerons) for effective roll
control.

Sig Manufacturing announces the
release of its new Li’l Rascal ARF.
This model has a 29.75-inch wingspan
and a 180 geared electric motor. It can
be ready to fly in as little as two to
three hours from box to field.
It features a one-piece,
preassembled wing, factory-installed
motor/gearbox, and a low parts count.
The light, tough, all-balsa-and-plywood
construction is completely hand
assembled and then covered with
genuine Oracover covering material in
the Rascal motif.
Standard micro radio electronics
are needed, as is a seven-cell, 300
mAh NiMH battery pack. Fly it in
typical small areas, even in relatively
high winds. Full aerobatic maneuvers
are possible with typical
rudder/elevator movements. Plus, this
model is stable and easy to fly. Run
times of 10 minutes or longer are
typical with good throttle management.
The Sig Li’l Rascal has a wing area
of 134 square inches, a fuselage
length of 20.5 inches, and a flying
weight of 8.5 to 9.5 ounces. A Speed
180 motor with a 2.9:1 gearbox is
included. A three-channel radio with
two microservos is required.

1) All digital pictures must be taken with a 3.0 (or greater) Megapixel camera, adjusted to the
highest resolution setting.
2) All digital images must be submitted on disk or CD.
3) No E-mailed digital image submissions will be accepted.
4) Compressed formats should not be saved again before providing them to us. Acceptable file
formats are .jpg and .tif. Model Aviation reserves the right to reject any photo that does not
meet resolution standards.
5) Color proofs must be furnished with the files.
6) Under no circumstances do we accept color copies or prints from home inkjet printers, except to
provide a proof of the digital file(s) furnished.
