the release of its new “Almost-Ready-
To-Fly Oriental”—one of three Almost-
Ready-To-Fly designs that will be
ready this spring.
The Almost-Ready-To-Fly Oriental
is available in different colors and
includes a 4-inch bellcrank, adjustable
leadouts, and an adjustable weight
box. You furnish the motor and the
control lines, and this airplane is ready
for takeoff.
As an added feature, the Almost-
Ready-To-Fly Oriental will be available
in an “Almost-Ready-To-Cover” version

New Version Hirobo Vertol Twin

MRC/Altech has released an
improved 50-size Vertol kit. Hirobo has
modified the model with a new
mainframe design, larger tank,
additional body style (CH-47 Chinook),
and updated heads and swashplates.
Controls are now electronically
mixed via a Hirobo-designed control
system included with the kit. A threeaxis
gyro is included. There is no more
complicated mechanical control
system.
The starting system is changed to
the shaft-type like that of the Sceadu
and Freya series. It is set up for a 50-
size motor to carry the weight and
requires seven servos (three for each
rotor head and one for throttle). The
body is unpainted fiberglass.
Item 0406-903 Vertol, 0403-904
Chinook, has a suggested street price
of $2300, and it will be available in the
spring of 2004.

RCV announces the latest engine in
its CD (Crank Drive) line. The RCV91-
CD (.91 cu. in., 15cc) continues the
RCV tradition of producing highquality,
high-performance engines in a
low-height package.
Following the RCV58-CD engine’s
success and using the unique rotating
cylinder valve technology, the RCV91-
CD is the same height as conventional
52 four-stroke engines, so it should be
a natural for airframes from a 46 up to
a 91.
The 91CD’s suggested retail price

highlighted the best Freestyle flights

Freestyle or 3-D flying consists of
no-holds-barred aerobatics, where
anything goes as long as safety is
