The folding-wing glider known as the American Junior Interceptor was introduced to America in 1939 by Jim Walker. It became popular among young Americans almost instantly, and even saw service as a target airplane for our machine gunners during World War II.
The Interceptor's popularity continued to grow throughout the years until it was finally discontinued in the early 1960s, following the death of Jim Walker. It was revived again for a few years in the mid-1980s.
Now American Junior takes to the air again with a new addition to the family, and the company has named it "Plain Jane."
This is a precision-built balsa model with a 16.5-inch wingspan and a reliable new folding-wing mechanism. The wings fold back, and the model is catapulted into the air just like the old Interceptor. As it reaches altitude and stalls, the wings "click" open as it goes into its glide mode, searching for warm air thermals.

Shulman Aviation announces its new 1800 mAh, 11.1-volt Li-Poly transmitter pack from Poly-Quest. This neat pack fits easily and plugs directly into virtually any transmitter, including Futaba, JR, Hitec, Airtronics, Tracker, and GWS.
Now is the time to replace your lower-capacity Ni-Cd, NiMH, and even Li-Ion batteries, and fly for weeks without recharging your transmitter battery. Li-Poly inherently has a better temperature resistance against cold weather, so it can endure much lower temperatures than Ni-Cd, NiMH, and Li-Ion.
As with all Poly-Quest batteries, Shulman Aviation's new transmitter pack comes complete with its own built-in "Safety Protection Circuit," Universal transmitter plug, and a pair of power leads (in case you would also like to use it in your electric model).

The Sky Haul is a transporter designed to move model airplanes without the risk of scratches or damage. Sky Haul is also useful for test-running and home maintenance.
The adjustable cradles move from 5.5 inches to 16.0 inches and are coated with PVC for added protection. The Sky Haul is also equipped with a handy work tray to hold tools or a transmitter.

The BSS (Backpack Slope Scale) 1-26B foamie, derived from the TMRC 1-26B woodie kit, had its maiden flight, and it is now available in production form.
The 60-inch-span scale 1-26B is 30.75 inches long, has 345 square inches of wing area, and uses the Selig 3021 airfoil. It features .25-inch embedded carbon spars in CNC-cut cores with typical sub-TE and TE aileron and aft wing section construction.
The BSS 1-26 has a new type of fuselage construction. Laser-cut plywood stiffeners that are precision-cut and fixtured together make for a conventional radio installation and supply torsional and longitudinal rigidity to the airframe.
In addition, it makes construction and radio installation quick and easy and allows for a lightweight, hollow, and rigid structure with conventional canopy, landing gear, and hi-start towhook built into the included landing skid.
The kit comes with all components to construct this sweet little aerobatic and slope trainer, except for the radio, adhesives, and covering materials. It may also be ordered with a D/E model raked square vertical fin and rudder and an optional fuselage. TMRC will provide fully shaped fuselages for those who don't want to carve and sand the supplied cores.

This line of World War I biplanes includes a Fokker D.VII, a Fokker Dr.I, a Nieuport 28, and a Sopwith Camel. All kits include machine-cut Depron foam pieces, carbon spars, formed-aluminum landing gears, lightweight wheels, aluminum motor mounts, preassembled fuselages with pushrod tubes and pushrods installed, all necessary hardware to complete the airframes, and a comprehensive construction manual.
The kits are designed around the latest equipment available: brushless outrunners such as the Himax 2802-0980, the E-flite Park 370-1080, or the AXI 2208/34 motor; an APC Slow Flyer 9 x 3.8 propeller; a three-cell 800-900 Li-Poly battery; a Castle Creations Phoenix-10 ESC; a microreceiver; and four microservos.
With wing areas of 350 square inches and total weights of 12-14 ounces, wing loadings are 5-6 ounces per square foot, giving outstanding flight performance. Ground handling is excellent, takeoffs are straight and true (and at half power very realistic), all standard aerobatic maneuvers are easy to accomplish, and landings are slow and graceful.

The Quick Cradle consists of a pair of camping table cradles for model airplanes. The adjustable cradles are suitable for maintenance and storage, and they are guaranteed not to scratch the table surface they are used on. The tubular steel construction has a 50-pound capacity, and the coated foam restraints are fuel resistant and protect airplanes from scratches.
The cradle height is adjustable from 8.0 to 16.0 inches from the table surface. Two sizes of the Quick Cradle are available, one with cradles that span from 5.5 to 13.0 inches and the other with cradles that span from 7.0 to 18.0 inches for large-scale airplanes.
