Jeti High Voltage Capacitor Module AddCap @ $19-$22 + S&H from Esprit Model, 1240 Clearmont St. NE #12, Palm Bay FL 32905; Tel.: (321) 729-4287; website: www.espritmodel.com.

The Jeti AddCap 820 and AddCap 1640 are add-on capacitor units designed to enhance the battery power supply for drive systems using low-impedance electric motors (1-2 pole), mostly electric ducted-fan or geared inrunner motors. Placed between the main battery pack and the ESC, AddCap capacitor modules buffer the power surges that can result from running extended leads between the pack and ESC.
Capacitor Modules should be used when the wires from the battery to the ESC need to be lengthened more than 200mm. If the wires are longer, use one AddCap 820 or AddCap 1640 for each 200mm section.
AddCap capacitor modules are recommended for use with 2.5-6 square mm (14 AWG-10 AWG) wires. Capacitor Modules contain high-voltage capacitors. The 820 size is recommended for currents up to 100 amps, and the 1640 size is recommended for currents up to 300 amps. Jeti AddCaps work with battery packs of up to 63 volts and 15S.

Battery Buzzer Low Battery Voltage Alarm @ $9.99+ S&H from Hitec RCD, 12115 Paine St., Poway CA 92064; Tel.: (858) 748-8440, website: www.hitecrcd.com.

Hitec RCD is pleased to announce the Battery Buzzer, a compact and convenient low-battery-voltage alarm.
The Battery Buzzer warns a modeler when he or she is near the end of the flight and it’s time to land. With a programmable voltage threshold, the modeler decides how much advance warning is needed before the alarm sounds. This protects the model from unexpected off-field landings, and prevents the battery from over-discharging, maximizing the investment.
The alarm features a high-pitch warning sound with an LED status indicator. Input voltage is 7.4 to 16.8 volts, with a voltage select of 3.2 to 3.5 volts. The Hitec Battery Buzzer can be used on 2S to 4S LiPos.

Nine Eagles Solo Pro 290 Lama Electric Helicopter @ $349.99-$399.99 + S&H from Hobbico, 3002 N. Apollo Dr., Suite #1, Champaign IL 61822; Tel.: (800) 637-6050; website: www.towerhobbies.com.

Nine Eagles Solo Pro 290 Lama electric helicopters have the perks that aspiring pilots want in a machine.
