Mikoyen-Gurevich MiG-3 @ $57.28-$85.29 + S&H from Microaces; email: support@microaces.com; website: www.microaces.com.
Microaces has added a new aircraft kit, one of the Soviet Union’s most distinctive World War II fighters, the Mikoyen-Gurevich MiG-3, to its fleet.
The MiG-3 kit includes all of the component features expected in a Microaces kit, including the clip-in, clip-out receiver system designed for the Spektrum AR6400- and 6400L-type receivers and their successors, the AR6410 and 6410L. The detailed graphics on this kit reveal the intricacies of the Russian fighter, with a healthy amount of weathering expected on combat-hardened aircraft.
An ideal next step for those who have experienced other RTF micros, the 15-inch MiG-3 boasts scale control surfaces including ailerons that provide a responsive scale performance. Flight is stable in calm conditions or indoors, and loops, rolls, and inverted flight are all achievable. The undercarriage can be detached, so the flight envelope can be explored completely.
The Microaces MiG-3 is available as a standard kit or as a deluxe kit including the brushless motor and speed controller. Both are available for order on the Microaces website, and global shipping is available.
Lithium-Iron-Phosphate (LiFe) Batteries @ $27.99-$64.99 + S&H from Hobbico, 3002 N. Apollo Dr., Suite #1, Champaign IL 61822; Tel.: (800) 637-7660; website: www.lifesourcebatteries.com.
