UMX Radian BNF Sailplane @ $89.99 + S&H from Horizon Hobby, 4105 Fieldstone Rd., Champaign IL 61822; Tel.: (800) 338-4639; website: www.e-fliterc.com

E-flite’s UMX Radian packs the simple fun of the ParkZone Radian into an ultra-micro package. This compact grab-and-go motor glider uses AS3X technology, giving the pilot the feeling of flying a much larger glider with its renowned ability to smooth out the effects of wind and turbulence.
Made of lightweight, molded-foam construction, the UMX Radian features a curved, one-piece, removable wing with carbon-fiber support and an installed contoured spinner with folding propeller. Three-channel control makes flying easy with impressive glide ratio, while the lightweight, brushed power system uses a 1S 3.7-volt 150 mAh 25C LiPo battery to provide excellent launch performance and long flight times. An E-flite 300 mA LiPo charger is included, charging the battery from any convenient USB power source.
A four-plus-channel DSM2- or DSMX-compatible transmitter is required. A Spektrum DSM2/DSMX five-channel UM AS3X receiver/servos/ESC unit is installed in the UMX Radian.

Infinity XBus Dedicated DMSS Receiver @ $119.99 + S&H from JR Americas, Box 8757, Champaign IL 61826; Tel.: (800) 338-4639; website: www.jramericas.com

JR Americas introduces the Infinity RGO31BX receiver, the world’s first unlimited channel, dedicated serial-bus-specific receiver. The number of channels it can support is limited only to the number of channels you control with your transmitter.
The 7-gram Infinity receiver is barely larger than its remote antennas. JR’s patented Intelligent Output System (IOS) sends data from all channels as one complete signal frame for pure control. Designed exclusively for use with XBus systems, the Infinity features real-time telemetry data.
The two ports on its face support the XBus link and telemetry sensor input. Path diversity and a solid link are ensured by the included RAO1TL remote and two RAO1L remotes. The DMSS RF link guards against interference from other radios turned on within the range of your aircraft.
With failsafe support on all channels and easy-to-view status condition LEDs, the Infinity RGO31BX receiver is suitable for a wide variety of applications.

DLE-120 Twin Gas Engine @ $749.99 + S&H from Hobbico, 3002 N. Apollo Dr., Suite #1, Champaign IL 61822; Tel.: (800) 637-7660; website: www.dle-engines.com

Do you want enough power to propel even large-scale aircraft into intense 3-D maneuvers? Look no further than the DLE-120 twin gas engine. At 12 hp, the DLE-120 delivers more than 50 pounds of static thrust. The twin, opposed-cylinder design reduces vibration, which increases performance and reduces engine and airframe wear.
Parts for the DLE-120 are CNC machined for high performance and long life. The magnesium crankcase makes this engine strong and light. Lightweight pistons provide fast acceleration, excellent compression, and low vibration, while the crankshaft bearings are sealed. An electronic ignition delivers an ultrasmooth idle for easy starting and superb throttle transition.
The electronic ignition module, matching mufflers, spark plugs, standoffs, spiral wire wrap, and connector safety clips are included. Unleaded gas, two-cycle oil, an ignition battery, and propeller are required.

Sailplane Power Pod Launching system for 1/4- to 1/3-scale sailplanes @ $195 + S&H from Esprit Model, 1240 Clearmont St. NE, Unit #12, Palm Bay FL 32905; Tel.: (321) 729-4287; website: www.espritmodel.com

Esprit Model’s new Power Pod Launching electric system for Scale sailplanes will enhance your flying experience without breaking the bank. This high-quality unit allows you to reach optimal thermal-hunting altitudes without the expense and complications associated with towing your model to altitude.
Easily removed when not needed, the Power Pod Launching system can be supplied as installation ready or only with the pylon and spinner assembly, and ready for you to install your own motor, ESC, and propeller.
The fiberglass pod with aluminum mount, aluminum folding turbo spinner, installation aluminum tube, plywood top and bottom reinforcement, plywood installation platform, and installation bolt with nut and washer are all included. The spinner comes with 5mm and 6mm collets. A spring set for the folding spinner and building services (Power Pod installation) are optional upgrades. Esprit recommends its 5S and 8S power setups, listed on the Esprit Models website.

Raptor G4.1 Flybarless Nitro 3D Heli Kit @ $899.99+ S&H from Thunder Tiger, 3002 N. Apollo Dr., Suite #1, Champaign IL 61822; Tel.: (800) 637-7660; website: www.ttamerica.com

By adding exciting upgrades to the popular Raptor 90 G4 flybarless helicopter, Thunder Tiger is proud to establish the Raptor G4.1, a heli to which other 3-D nitro machines will be compared.
The full-aluminum rotor head features thicker grip plates for greater rigidity and improved 3-D performance, while the mainframe’s 2mm-thick carbon side frames allow pilots to equip the heli with a 115T main gear optimized for the O.S. 105HZ engine (gear and engine sold separately).
Other features include lengthened posts and a reinforced bearing block on the rotor head, a torque-tube drive system, 15mm-diameter hardened hollow steel main shaft, an all-metal, heavy-duty tail rotor system, and a carbon tailboom with carbon support, fin, and a one-piece metal bracket.
Included are 105mm carbon tail blades and a red FRP canopy, as well as a 22-ounce main fuel tank, 2-ounce header tank, and nylon landing gear with aluminum skids.

LiPo Safe Charging Bags @ $9.95-$15.95 + S&H from Common Sense RC, Box 3546, Chatsworth CA 91313; Tel.: (866) 405-8811; website: www.commonsenserc.com
