The 8.5-inch, 0.3-ounce ultralight comes preassembled and includes a spare propeller, rechargeable 3.7-volt 35 mAh LiPo battery, interference-free 2.4 GHz transmitter with a built-in LiPo battery charger, and four AA batteries. All a pilot needs to do is charge, plug in the battery, and fly!
NEXT Generation PA Series XR-52 ARF @ $239.95 + S&H from Precision Aerobatics, email: email@example.com; website: www.precisionaerobatics.com
The XR-52 is an exciting addition to the NEXT Generation PA series of Precision Aerobatics airplanes, giving the perfect balance between precision flying and slow 3-D capabilities.
Use a Vox 13 x 5 wooden propeller for low-and-slow 3-D flights, sport flying, or smaller field flying, or a Vox 13 x 6.5 wooden propeller for show-stopping Freestyle maneuvers! Larger than the successful PA Bandit, the XR-52 features unique, custom-designed airfoils and a longer fuselage, among other design elements engineered specifically for this aircraft.
Lightweight and rigid, the XR-52’s tested power setup makes it extremely responsive. The XR-52 performs best with the iPAs Xtreme: a PA Thrust 45 motor, PA Quantum 45 Pro ESC with switching BEC, a single PA V3 2,200 mAh 14.8-volt 4S 30-60C LiPo battery, and either of the wooden propellers mentioned. It’s simple to get the setup right the first time.
Preassembled by Precision Aerobatics staff, the XR-52 is made from the finest-grade material, all cut by state-of-the-art laser and CNC machines.
Power Board Pro Series Power Expander Boxes @ $99-$135 + S&H from Redwing RC, Tel.: (636) 675-0047; website: www.redwingrc.com
RedwingRC introduces the new Power Board PRO SERIES Power Expander Boxes to keep your airplanes up in the air and running their best.
Adding a power board to your airplane setup allows better wire management, better tracking of how much voltage is going to which servo, and provides redundancy.
Three power boards are available. The Red Power Board has an input voltage of 5 to 13 volts, with a working load of 0 to 20 amps. The Yellow Power Board has an input voltage of 7 to 13 volts with a working load of 0 to 30 amps, adjustable voltage selection via a dial on the side, and the ability to use high-voltage servos and provide a clean 5 volts to your receiver. The Black Power Board has an input voltage of 6 to 13 volts with a working load of 0 to 30 amps, adjustable voltage selection, the ability to use high-voltage servos, plus battery balancing and short circuit protection.
All power boards include dual-battery redundancy for safer flying, an LCD display that shows real-time information on the voltages in and out, a built-in regulator that supplies a clean 5 volts to your receiver, integrated CDI remote cutoff (OPTO-KILL) switch to kill the engine, and eight channels in/16 channels out (plus ignition). All are electronically isolated for interference-free flying.
Receiver wires are preinstalled. All of the boards include XT connectors and batteries with Deans-style connectors are accepted.
P-51 Mustang Sport Fighter .46/EP ARF @ $139.98 + S&H from Hobbico, 3002 N. Apollo Dr., Ste. #1, Champaign IL 61822; Tel.: (800) 637-7660; website: www.greatplanes.com
Superior speed and design gave the full-scale P-51 Mustang an edge over other contemporary propeller fighter designs, enabling it to strike targets all the way into Germany. Now modelers can experience the thrill of flying a Mustang with Great Planes’ new P-51 Mustang Sport Fighter ARF for glow or electric power.
With excellent sport flight characteristics, a realistic trim scheme, and a large magnetically attached removable hatch, the P-51 Mustang is easily assembled and gets you in the air in only a few hours. All you need is a four-channel radio system, five servos, a .46-.55 cu. in. engine or 42-50-800 kV brushless outrunner motor, a minimum 45-amp ESC, and a 4S 14.8-volt 3,800 mAh LiPo battery. Hardware is included for both brushless and glow-power setups.
Blade 360 CFX BNF Basic Helicopter @ $499.99 + S&H from Horizon Hobby, 4105 Fieldstone Rd., Champaign, IL 61822; Tel.: (877) 504-0233; website: www.bladehelis.com
The Blade 360 CFX is an advanced pilot’s grab-n-go dream, delivering a mini-class helicopter that gives a pilot the feeling of flying a larger, unlimited 3-D machine.
Designed around the optimized servo geometry platform that eliminates mechanical inefficiency by keeping swashplate links nearly vertical throughout their range of motion, the 360 CFX features an oversize, hardened main shaft with triple ball-bearing support, CNC aluminum head and frame members, and single-stack carbon-fiber side frames. At the core of its performance is the Spektrum SPMAR7200BX Flybarless Control System, combining a seven-channel receiver with BeastX three-axis MEMS stabilization into a single, lightweight unit.
The Blade 360 CFX also includes a high-torque 1,800 Kv brushless outrunner motor, Spektrum digital high-speed metal gear servos, a Castle Creations Talon 35 ESC, 360mm carbon-fiber main blades, and an airbrushed, fiberglass canopy with high-gloss finish.
A six-channel programmable transmitter with Spektrum DSM2/DSMX technology, 1,300 mAh 6S 22.2-volt 30C LiPo battery, and AC and/or DC compatible LiPo balance charger are required to complete the Blade 360 CFX.
XF UAS Universal Battery Eliminator Circuit 22A+ Series @ $58.95 + S&H from KDE Direct, email: firstname.lastname@example.org; website: www.kdedirect.com
KDE Direct’s new XF UAS UBEC 22A+ for electric multirotors and helicopters is designed for the operation of multiple electronics and other high-power systems and is commonly needed when linear BECs are incapable of handling the power requirements or when high-grade, OPTO-isolated ESCs are used.
Compatible with 2S to 8S LiPo battery power systems, the UBEC allows for clean, voltage-regulated power for critical flight electronics and peripheral equipment, including 12-volt aerial photography and high-end sUAS equipment.
Designed to eliminate the need for an external battery pack, the UBEC allows for simple adjustment of the regulated output voltage for direct compatibility to electronics and power applications. Three standard power-output leads are provided and prevent the need for wire harnesses or additional soldering when using electronics up to 10-amp continuous and 22-plus-amp peak currents. Four voltage-range selections of 5.0, 6.0, 8.0, and 12.0 are allowed.
30cc MXS-Bach @ $369 + S&H from RedwingRC, Tel.: (636) 675-0047; website: www.redwingrc.com
Unique to RedwingRC, the 30cc MXS-Bach is a perfect blend of flying characteristics and beauty. Combining the MXSR and Sbach, the MXS-Bach has formed a new and versatile airframe that is sure to please pilots.
The tail moment, wing size and shape, and body have been fused to create an exciting, yet gentle when desired, flying experience. The generous control surfaces make high-energy snap maneuvers a breeze, but the model can slow down for beautifully choreographed sequences.
The fuselage has been reinforced with carbon-fiber stringers, while the wings have carbon-fiber spars and composite retention pins. All have little to no effect on the weight. Stabilizers have fiberglass on the last formers, preventing them from flexing or getting crushed when bolted in.
Mating perfectly with a DLE-30, DLE-35RA, or equivalent electric system, the MXS-Bach comes with carbon-fiber landing gear, turnbuckle hardware, ball links, fiberglass horns, and more. A 3-inch spinner and 18 x 8 or 20 x 8 propeller are recommended.
The MXS-Bach comes in a black and gold, red, or ghost color scheme. Red Deal Combos are available for the MXS-Bach on the RedwingRC website.
