Chartered Clubs
As of May 10, 174 clubs have not rechartered for the year 2000. If you are concerned that one of these clubs may be yours, please:
- Check with the club president/contact person and be sure that he or she has a charter certificate and/or additional insurance for the current year.
- Log on to our web site and check to see if your club is listed there.
- If your club is not listed, contact AMA Club Secretary Lois Pierce by telephone at (800) 435-9262 ext. 291, or E-mail her at [email protected], and request a club rechartering package.
New Administration Building
Work has begun on the administration building and on the permanent restroom facility in the Stage Center area of the flying site.
Meetings, meetings, meetings!
I never knew what was involved in construction projects, but I am finding out. It seems that I am involved in meetings on a daily basis.
I may be deciding on what color the interior bathroom walls, carpet, or furniture will be, and the next moment finding someone to relocate the fish when the pond is drained to be enlarged.
If it is not the weather that stalls the project, it is the need for some type of permit.
With all of that, we are still on schedule, and the projected date for completion is November of this year.
If you would like to see what has been done so far, go to www.modelaircraft.org/comp/NAConstruction.htm. Pictures will be updated as work progresses.
Happy flying,
Joyce Hager Executive Director [email protected]
